Introduction:
CLAG PG 2022 will place a high value on reading comprehension.
Extracts from the primary legal material will be provided as landmark judgments, and court decisions in the various fields of law, regulations, or statutes. Each passage will series of questions that will require the candidate to illustrate:
– Ability to read and comprehend the issues discussed in the passage, as well as any arguments and viewpoints mentioned or set out in the passage;
– Awareness of the issues addressed in the passage, as well as of legal issues and facts related to and arising out of the passage and the judgment or statute from which it is extracted;
– Summarise the passage; and
– Ability to apply your knowledge of the fields of law discussed in the passage.
How to prepare for CLAT PG 2022 exams:
It is advisable by the consortium this year that a candidate before appearing for CLAT PG 2022, should:
- Read and refresh your knowledge of important judgments, and try to discern various issues discussed in such judgments;
- Refresh your knowledge of important constitutional and legislative provisions, particularly those that may have been discussed in recent judgments; it would also be useful to ensure you are aware of historical case law and amendments related to such provisions so that you have a more complete awareness of such provisions and the issues related to them.
Question Paper Format of CLAT PG 2022
CLAT PG 2022 exam will be a test of 2 hours which will consist of 120 questions. Each of these questions will carry 1 mark for each correct answer marked and 0.25 marks will be deducted for any wrong answer. This section is going to be an objective test. It will have multiple-choice questions.
